FAQ
Our bags are distributed through hospitals, clinics, social service agencies, community programs, and home visits throughout San Diego County. Nurses, social workers, and trusted community professionals identify families who would benefit from support. If you feel that you qualify – please ask your medical support team if they partner with Gently Hugged and if they have any available bags.
Thank you so much! You can drop your items at one of our convenient collection bin locations across the county. If there is not a bin near you, please contact us and we will help find a solution.
Unfortunately, because our bundles are gifted in recyclable bags – there is not space for these larger items. However, our friends at Birthline of San Diego, San Diego Food Bank (diapers only), Family Health Centers of San Diego, and Bridge of Hope SD all accept a wider variety of items.
Rancho Bernardo is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00am to 12:00pm. North Coastal is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Both offices are closed on major holidays and donation drop-offs at other times can be scheduled by appointment only.
